The UK Resuscitation Council provides clear guidelines for administering intramuscular adrenaline:

• Needle and Drug Verification: Use the correct sterile needle and ensure the drug is not expired.
• Dose Breakdown: Doses are categorised by age groups:
• Adults: 500 micrograms (0.5 millilitre)
• Children over 12 years: 500 micrograms (0.5 millilitre)
• Children between 6 and 12 years: 300 micrograms (0.3 millilitre)
• Children under 6 years: 150 micrograms (0.15 millilitre)
• Repetition and Monitoring: Doses may be repeated after five minutes if necessary. Maintain a record of administered drugs for continuity of care.

• Storage: Verify proper storage conditions and expiry dates.
